This drilling ship is purposed for drilling of pioneer and exploratory oil and gas wells for the depth up to 6500 m at the sea depth of 70-300 m. The ship moves between the working areas on her own, including passing through the fields following the ice-breaker.
The
precision of ship’s retention over the well is: at the depth of 100 m from the
sea bottom – 5.8%, at the depth of 200-300 m from the sea bottom – 4.0%.
I.
Main
technical parameters.
The
ship is a one-decker with intermediate platforms with excessive underwater board,
long foredeck and poop, deck forward housing, deck aft machine room and midship
under-derrick frame. The ship has two shrouded CP propellers, five water-jet
thrusters. The hull is anti-corrosion cathode protected.
All
the living quarters and service accommodations are equipped with single channel
medium speed system of year-round air conditioning providing individual
temperature adjustment.
The integral electrical generating plant consists of 6 main Wartsila (Finland) automated diesel generators with capacity of 2250 kWt, one harbour diesel generator DGR 2A800 P50 with capacity of 800 kWt, two emergency diesel generators A DGR 200/1500 with capacity of 200 kWt each, two boilers with total capacity of 3 t/h. Fuels for the main engines are low-viscosity L type and medium-viscosity diesel fuel and mazut.
For
the purpose of holding the ship in the set point over the well the ship is
equipped with control system Selvilit-280
comprising of hydro-acoustic system of dislocation determination, hydro-acoustic
Doppler log, system of hydro-verticals, wind parameters meter, inclinometer
system of dislocation determination, system of determination of the marine
conductor (DP
system needs to be modified).
The
technological equipment comprises of drilling complex of Uralmash factory with
capacity of 400 t. The drawworks drive shaft capacity is 1475 kWt. Rotary torque
is 80
kH-m. The maximum pressure the delivery of drilling pump UNBT-950m
is 300 kgf/cm2. The compressor station consists of 4 low pressure
compressors VP2-10/9 with capacity of 10 cbm/h at pressure of 9 kgf/cm2
and 3 high pressure compressors BShV-2.3/230 with capacity of 2.3 cbm/h at
pressure of 230 kgf/cm2.
On
the ship there is a single unit complex of underwater mouth equipment
manufactured by “Kameron Iron Works GMBH” comprising of блок

, mouth joint of 762 mm, marine conductor sections for the sea depth up to 300
m, telescopic compensator with a stroke of 15 m, hydraulic control system,
acoustic control system, choke manifold of kill and choking lines, 6 sets of
mouth equipment, instruments and auxiliaries,
marine conductor angle measurement system, systems of under- and
above-water television.
The
ship is equipped with means for transportation of the technological equipment.
There is a landing ground and command post for acceptance of helicopters MI-2, 8
and Ka-32.

II.
Fuels
for electricity generating plant.
For the main engine – fuel L-62 acc. to GOST 305-82 (low-viscosity fuel), diesel fuel acc. to GOST1667-68 and F-5 acc. to GOST 10585-75 (medium-viscosity fuel).
For
auxiliary boiler units – L-62 acc. to GOST 305-82, diesel fuel acc. to GOST
1667-68 and F-5 acc. to GOST 10585-75.
For
diesel generators DGR2A800/750 – fuel L-52 acc. to GOST 305-82.
The
main fuel types for the engines of the main (MDG) and auxiliary boiler units are
engine diesel fuel acc. to GOST 1667-68 and marine mazut F-5 acc. to GOST
10585-75.
When starting-up and stopping the main diesel generators MDG, DGR2A800/750 and auxiliaries work on diesel fuel L-62 acc. to GOST 305-82.
For
the circulation lubrication of the main diesel generators oil M10DTsL20 is used
if the used fuel is L-62, diesel fuel and F-5. If MDG works on fuel L-62 it is
allowable to use luboil M10G2TsS.
The
regulator of frequency of revolution is to be lubricated with the same oil as
the diesel generator.

IV.
Unit
of geological-technological control.
The ship is equipped with fully computerized unit of geological-technological control (mud rogging) of advanced safety which is purposed for the work in difficult circumstances.
Dimensions: 7.30 m x 2.75 m x 2.60 m, weight incl. package - about 12.5 t.
The
unit has a certification passport containing the following: certificate
verifying that the unit was tested and prepared for exploitation according to AO class; BASEEFA
or equivalent European certificate for the whole equipment which is to work in a
hazardous zone; all the gauges were certified by BASEEFA as safe (Exi) and
suitable for exploitation in Division 1 zones.
Performance
of GTC unit needs the following: compressed air, water, electricity (220-240V),
three-phase current, drainage.

VI.
On-land testing of equipment.
On-land equipment of Halliburton allows to safely control the behaviour of the well during testing . It can be used for processing of the well’s product for the purpose of getting all the necessary information and for following storage and utilization of the received effluents. There can be various models of equipment assembly for the purpose of well testing in accordance with the individual requirements and for various intra-well conditions. All equipment either meets or excels the industrial safety and quality standards.
DST/STE equipment for well testing.
DST/STE equipment is used for testing aimed at the estimation of well’s long-term potential. The alternative methods of well exploratory (logging, coring, etc) do not enable to get the necessary scope of information. With the help of DST equipment it is possible to perform well completion according to the time scheme for sampling and getting main information in respect of the pressure. STE equipment allows to test the well in various extraction regimes:
-
estimation of gas, liquids and solids produced by the well
-
registration of pressure and temperature
-
sampling of collector fluid
-
safe utilization of oil and gas flowing to the well
DST
equipment includes safety, circulation and testing valves, packers, jar and face
transducers of pressure and temperature. The drill-stem tester with the minimum
inner drift of 1.9 (RTTS packer 65/8) is designed for operation by the maximum
pressure of 1000 Ам
15000 si) and temperature of 210˚C (410˚F).
STE equipment includes safety valves,
connections, manifold, heater, separator, burners. The efficiency of the oil
burner is 99.993%. The on-land equipment comprises of an automated system of
data collecting and processing SCAN2. SCAN2 is used for collecting, transmitting
and analyzing of well data in the real time regime. The system allows
simultaneous receipt of the information on the following parameters:

pressure and temperature at the well mouth
-
pressure in the casing
-
pressure and temperature in the separator
-
expenditure of oil, gas and water
The equipment was attested according to API standards and was used in the regions of vulnerable ecology where extremely strict requirements in respect of ensuring the environmental safety are applied, among them – the USA, Norway, Great Britain, etc. The usage of electronic downhole pressure gauges and thermometers produced by GRC allows to receive the most precise data during testing and to process them with the help of a specialized software.
